Koppel 66 - House of Art & Craft

Well-renowned in Hamburg as The House of Art and Craft, Koppel 66 is centrally located between the streets Koppel and Lange Reihe and only a few minutes walk from the Central Station and Museum Mile.

In 1981, the former St. Georg machine factory was renovated to accommodate twelve workshops and studios, the vegetarian Café Koppel and the GEDOK Art Forum. The creative disciplines range from jewelry making, fashion design, bindery and furniture design to include photography, woodcutting and letterpress art as well as painting. Interested visitors are welcome to browse the studios and be inspired. Events such as the Advent fair occurring on the 4 week-ends before Christmas and, since 1999, the 3-day Spring fair taking place around Easter have become yearly classics. On these successful well visited sales exhibitions, select artists, designers and art craftsmen from all over Germany and abroad present their unique work alongside the in-house studios. All dates, including additional events, like the Hamburg Brassgipfel in Autumn, and smaller events throughout the year, are listed on this Website.
